We are now looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our ambitious Product Team and help accelerate our pathway to improve future opportunities for young learners around the world!

What you will be doing

• Lead development on Astrid’s React Native app, building an excellent learning platform for our users.
• Be part of an agile product team together with Product Managers, UX designers and other Engineers across the stack.
• Collaboratively develop a wide range of mobile features together with a team of diverse skills and backgrounds.
• Pay attention to detail to ensure the quality of code.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, for example, pair/mob programming and hack days.

What you will bring to the team 

As the Senior Engineer in our Product Team, you will be guiding and informing development decisions, e.g. by communicating technical needs and suggesting alternative ways of achieving results. We hope that you share our curiosity and passion for building great user experiences. We’re an open and engaged bunch, meaning that interest and engagement in adjacent areas are highly encouraged!

Required experience:

• App development using Typescript and React Native.
• A couple of years of experience building mobile products.
• Writing and maintaining testable code. 

Preferred experience

• Experience with some of the other technologies we use, mainly Firebase, MongoDB, Python, NodeJS and GCP.
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery.
• Working in cross-functional teams.
• Working with EdTech and/or children’s products.
